HKN vs. UPE Broomball

12:23 AM - April 22nd, 2005

It was my first time playing broomball and it rocked =). Scored one goal and tipped another one in. Pretty good for a rookie.

Too bad it’s my last chance as an undergrad to play. I guess there’s always alumni broomball.

Please, please, if you play a team game like broomball or soccer, spread out. People that have no experience playing team sports tend to run after the ball and end up getting in the way of their teammates. Spread out, pass more, get the ball to the open player, and—most importantly—communicate.

hey emmy has a random suggestion, can there be something on the site that lets you know when the last 5 or so comments were made and where? cause sometimes ppl comment on old posties and emmy wonders if anyone will notice besides actually there is an easier way to read new comments than go through all the old posties again….

u know, when I first mentioned something like this to Quad, thats exactly what I meant. something that let’s people know which posts have new comments, not just showing how many there are. Not all of us uss the RSS ;)

Been busy. I’m thinking the dead zone before finals week.

Yeah, I know what you mean. It’s midterm time for me, and while not exactly the same as your finals, they’re time consuming nonetheless.

  7. J.Liu says:

Broomball is hockey with sneakers instead of ice skates, sticks that resemble brooms instead of hockey sticks, and balls instead of pucks. And people fall down a lot. =)

    ^ a housewife’s version of hockey?!
    sounds great ^___^.

  9. emmy says:

can you run around hitting ppl with brooms? emmy thinks that would be a fun sport!

  10. J.Liu says:

eh, the goal is not to hurt people… the “brooms” are quite heavy too.

I think people get hurt enough from falling down. I only fell twice, but still left the rink with bruised knees and a bruised ankle.
