eh, the goal is not to hurt people… the “brooms” are quite heavy too.

I think people get hurt enough from falling down. I only fell twice, but still left the rink with bruised knees and a bruised ankle.

Broomball is hockey with sneakers instead of ice skates, sticks that resemble brooms instead of hockey sticks, and balls instead of pucks. And people fall down a lot. =)
