Help guide the future of Duality by answering the following questions. Sorry, no iPod drawing.
Questions
- What browser do you predominantly use? (specify browser, version, and platform)
- Do you have a broadband connection?
- Do you have JavaScript enabled?
- Would you be willing to enable cookies (assuming you have them disabled like me) for alternate designs?
- Would you prefer a design that is optimized for 800×600 or 1024×768?
- What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
The last ques… I mean the second-to-last question is the most important.

1) Firefox 1.0.4 (until they release the next version), Windows XP Pro SP2
2) I’ld die without it.
3) Last time I checked, yeah.
4) They’re already enabled. Why bother disabling them when AdAware can clean it all up for me.
5) Honestly, 1280×1024, but most people don’t use the same resolution as I, so 1024×768 will have to do. ;)
6) Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough…*drools*

1. Firefox, WinXP
2. Yesh
3. Yesh, but it’s not allowed to move or resize windows, change status bar text, screw with my menus, etc. Basically anything annoying that you wouldn’t be doing anyway. :P
4. I let you set your cookies, yep.
5. 1280×1024, 1400×1050 on the tablet.
6. Cherry Garcia!

3. Certainly!
4. Already enabled, so, naturally, sure
5. 1024×768, sankyuu :)

1. Safari 1.2.4/OS X 10.3.8
2. For the life of me, I don’t know anyone who uses ‘narrowband’ any more. Do you know what the data is on this? What % of the online population still uses modems, what % broadband?
3. Yes. Since switching to Safari, I haven’t had any of those JScript errors that used to pop up with significant frequency in IE/OS X.
4. I always have cookies enabled. I simply cannot remember login/password info for all the websites I go to, and many of them are critical in nature (online banking, bill paying, cellphone monitoring, etc.). (At least, I use different passwords for all sites, unlike some people I know. ;p )
5. 1024 x 768, although with my eyesight these days I should probably rez down to 800 x 600 instead of having to bump up browser fontsizes all the time. -_-
6. Choconillanana… chocolate, vanilla, banana swirl ;-)

1) Firefox 1.04 on WinXP SP1. I also use IE6 on WinXP SP1 on rare occasions. I use Safari (some version) on OS X (10.3.x) when I’m on the pb. When I’m in bay area I use IE6 on Win2000.
2) Yes
3) Yes on all of my platforms except my bay area home pc. (ignore it)
4) Yes on all of my platforms except my bay area home pc also. (ignore it, too)
5) 1024×768. reason being I use 1280×1024 most of the time now (Davis PC), and 1024×768 on pb and bay area home pc. on 1280 chances are I won’t maximize my browser anyway, and will have it sized at 1024. so.
6) Plain chocolate please.
