John Lasseter once swept Disneyland's streets. And now he gets to tell Disney's execs to axe a feature film?! Only in America. ::chuckle::

Oh and thank god! The new lords of Disney animation (Catmull, Lasseter and Co.) cancelled Toy Story 3...

Here was the purported (non-Pixar imagined) plot and how STUPID it was:

Buzz Lightyear would have been recalled to Taiwan after a series of malfunctions. Learning of a productwide recall, all the toys in Andy's room, under Woody's leadership, were to head to Taiwan to save Buzz from doom.

Uhhh...

No freakin' wonder Disney's animation division had been going downhill; they'd plumb forgotten how to tell a great story. They should be thankful Pixar has come to save their collective behinds.

For those of you who haven't seen it, there's a couple rather ammusing spoofs of the "One More Thing". You can find one video here and the other (more recent) video here.

No wonder Macworld Expo was so blah, never mind the announcements of the Intel-powered Macs.

That famed "oh and one more thing" moment? Clearly, not something in Jobs' keynote address, but the very pending and imminent Disney buyout of Pixar! The big winner in that deal, without a doubt, Apple Computer, Inc.

Jobs never ceases to amaze me.
