- I can’t whistle (though I finally learned to snap my fingers a year ago; right-hand only).
- I can’t read resistor color codes without checking my notes or Google.
- I have trouble talking and listening—and well, even just thinking—when face-to-face with someone else.
- My right shoulder is significantly less stable than my left. I’m not sure why.
- I can’t swallow pills. Penicillin and Amoxicillin both taste incredibly nasty, by the way.
- I still don’t know the difference between Christianity and Catholicism (so forgive me if I ever confuse the two).
- No matter how many times I check, I still get call and put mixed up.
- I pick my nails—now more than ever.
- I am chronically tardy—again, now more than ever.
- I finally see failings of the middle class. All my life, I was taught that getting a good job was the key to financial security. But seeing my money slip through my fingers has made me realize that that’s all a lie: working for money will never set you free.

I can relate to 1, 8 and sometimes 9… Oh, #5… I wasn’t able to swallow pills either until about the time I got my wisdom teeth pulled out which was around Christmas 2004. Using a lot of water helps, as well as the pain and fear of infection.

Your honesty is bracing! (What, exactly, compelled you to this fit of self-revelation today, Quad? ::chuckle:: Mind you, I’m not being critical of it… just wondering what it was that had you thinking of doing this heartfelt confessional.
Meta-pun intentional: for Catholics, confessionals are the norm. ;p
I am particularly intrigued (and moved) by #s 3 and 10. Those alone each deserve an extended entry, if you ever feel up to it. ;-)

funny how most of those apply to me as well… #1 (fully, including the parenthesis part), 2, 3 (getting better these days), 6 (well, somewhat… but not exactly), 7 (i dont even know), 8 (when deeply thinking while working), 9, 10…

I couldn’t swallow pills for the longest time. I can relate to #3…I can talk and listen, but I can’t think. So basically I speak gibberish and don’t remember what I said afterwards.
